Components Of Narrow Gauge Overhead Industrial And Mining Electric Locomotives

Mine electric locomotive is mainly used for long-distance transportation of underground roadway and ground. It is equivalent to the electric locomotive head in railway transportation. The locomotive that tracts the train consisting of a mine car or a passenger car on the track and completes the transportation of coal, gangue, materials, equipment and personnel is called a mine electric locomotive.

The charging and rectifying series of locomotives for mining electric locomotives are composed of mechanical and electrical parts. The mechanical part includes: frame, wheelset, bearing box, spring bracket, brake device, sand spraying device, connecting buffer device, etc. Electrical parts include: DC series motor, controller, resistance box, pantograph, air automatic switch (overhead locomotive) or flameproof bolt, storage battery (battery locomotive).

The frame is the main body of the locomotive, which is welded by thick steel plates. In addition to wheelsets and bearing boxes, mechanical and electrical devices on locomotives are mounted on the frame. The frame is supported on the bearing box by a spring bracket. Because of the impact and collision, deformation occurs during operation. Therefore, the thickness of steel plate should be increased or the corresponding measures should be taken to increase the rigidity of the frame.
