Safety Technical Training for Electric Locomotive Drivers

The training contents should include: locomotive mechanism (electrical and mechanical); operation safety management, such as reasonable determination of the number of traction miners, locomotive brakes, lights, alarm bells (horns), connecting devices and sand spraying devices; any abnormal use of the locomotive, driving signals; prevention of car crashes Including:

1. Electric locomotives must be equipped with front and rear red lights, requiring drivers to turn on the red lights before driving.
2. Electric locomotives have qualified alarm bells. When running, they must first ring the alarm bell. When turning, they should ring the alarm bell in advance.
3. Qualified Driver Employment System. Any driver should be strictly trained to work with a certificate, and no one without a witness can work.
4. When the driver is operating, it is strictly forbidden to poke his head out of the engine room.
5. The locomotive power supply must be cut off during overhaul. The control handle should be taken off and the brake should be tightened.
6. In order to brake urgently, hand brake and electric brake must be used simultaneously.
7. The normal running speed of locomotive is not more than 4m/s.
8. Locomotive is equipped with signal locking device to effectively prevent locomotive collision.
9. It is forbidden to drive non-motor vehicles on the same section of track.
10. When a locomotive is running on the same track, the distance must be guaranteed not less than 100 meters.
11. Underground mining locomotives are equipped with regulations for sending emergency stop signals with miner lights.
12. The locomotive shall adopt qualified insurance and the pins and rings shall be regular.

In daily management, managers of locomotive transport area team should strengthen coaching and assistance to locomotive drivers, educate and supervise these safety precautions, so that locomotive drivers can master and apply them skillfully.
