Advantages Of Mining Battery Stringing Electric Locomotive

Considering the application of the narrow guage locomotive in the mine, it is required that the locomotive should be firm and reliable, easy to use and maintain, economical and reasonable, etc.  Electric locomotive should design and develop on the basis of the current battery electric locomotive and stringing electric locomotive, and try to use the existing mature technology and components to shorten the development cycle and improve the working reliability.

Narrow guage locomotive has the following characteristics in structure and performance:

(1) the whole narrow guage locomotive adopts the form of single car and double cab. The structure is compact and reasonable, the driver has good vision, flexible, convenient use and maintenance, and low cost. Its cost is about 10% higher than that of battery electric locomotive of the same specification.

(2) In order to adapt to the two working conditions of the stringing battery and reduce the starting energy loss, the locomotive adopts the thyristor chopper voltage regulation for starting and speed regulation in both operating conditions. In order to realize the conversion of two working conditions of stringing and storage battery and mutual locking during operation, the system is equipped with a special explosion-proof contactor box, which is equipped with two special DC contactors.

(3) In order to ensure reliable braking, the locomotive is equipped with two sets of braking devices, namely hand wheel brake shoe braking and air braking, so as to realize the locomotive's working braking, emergency braking and parking braking.

(4) In order to facilitate the driver to understand the operation condition and various faults of the locomotive. A special combined display device is installed in two engine rooms of the locomotive. The built-in voltage digital display has the functions of stringing, battery working condition indication, battery over discharge and chopper out of control display and protection. In addition, there are electrical interlocking between two cab controllers, overload short circuit protection, etc. According to the needs of users, gas alarm and power-off instrument can also be installed.
