1. According to different transportation power, underground mining locomotive are divided into diesel locomotive, air compressor locomotive and electric locomotive.

2. According to the nature of power supply, there are two types of electric locomotive: DC and AC.

8. The underground mining locomotive shall be equipped with overload and short circuit protection devices. The traction network which is easy to be brought into underground power supply through ground stringing must also have atmospheric over-voltage protection device.

9. The electrical system of the electric locomotive shall be equipped with interlocking device to ensure that the electrical circuit combination of the electric locomotive is correct under any working condition.

10. There are three side holes on the side plate of the motor car frame, two for installing the axle box and the other for adjusting the brake shoe clearance.
