The following three problems should be paid attention to during the discharging process of battery locomotive:
The battery capacity is reduced.
In addition to battery ageing, over-discharge, active material reduction, electrode plate shedding, quality problems, etc., the electrolyte density is too low, which is also the reason for the reduction of battery capacity. In underground mining locomotive daily maintenance, the specific gravity of the electrolyte is often measured with a hydrometer. When the specific gravity is lower than 1.28, use multi-functional standard fluid to adjust to the standard value to ensure that the battery is charged with sufficient power and the capacity of the battery.
Sparks are generated on the battery surface.
In the process of battery charging, sparks are generated between the battery surface and the plastic partition or steel plate, which is a discharge phenomenon. The reason is the overflow of electrolyte, such as the rupture of battery tank and battery cover, the dripping of electrolyte during the pouring, the overfilling of the battery, the shortage or tightness of the cock when the locomotive is running, etc. the primary battery is formed between the two points, resulting in the potential difference, and the electric spark is generated through the discharge circuit. It is necessary to wash the electrolyte with clean water and keep the battery surface clean and dry. Maintain a reasonable liquid level, 2025mm higher than the top of the diaphragm; before the underground mining locomotive runs, screw down the special vent bolt. If the battery case breaks, it must be disposed of or replaced.
The battery is damaged.
If the battery locomotive is damaged by a single battery, it is mostly caused by the short circuit between the positive and negative plates of the battery itself. If more than one battery or even the whole set of underground mining locomotive power box are damaged regularly, it is mostly caused by external reasons, such as excessive external load, long-term overload traction, or even short circuit. When the insulation of the positive or negative lead cable is damaged, it is short circuited with the pole of unequal potential point, and some batteries are short circuited, etc., which will cause the damage of the battery. We must pay full attention to it, and avoid it when the locomotive is running Load traction, carefully check the electrode lead cable insulation is qualified, add a set of insulation pipe; prevent the battery from high current discharge, and avoid damaging the battery due to excessive current.
