What should I do if the electric locomotive fails? Today, electric locomotive manufacturers talk about how to judge faults without disassembling electric locomotives?

Diagnosis without disassembly means that the technical state or fault of electric locomotive can be judged without disassembly. This method can prevent the expansion of manpower, material resources and time due to disassembly (especially voluntary disassembly), and also prevent the damage of mechanical parts caused by disassembly. The key points of diagnosis without disassembly are described as follows:

Temperature and smoke color transformation method

In the event of some problems of narrow gauge locomotive, the change of temperature, smoke color or breath will often be formed. Therefore, the change of each department in the event can be used as the inspection tool to confirm that there is a problem in each narrow gauge locomotive department.

1. Smell. For example, when the friction plate, brake belt, transmission belt, insulating paint, engine oil, etc. are burnt, the corresponding breath will spill out, which can be obviously felt by olfaction, which also provides the department basis for analyzing the parts where the faults occur.

2. Temperature change. If there is nothing wrong with a certain cylinder, the temperature of the cylinder head and cylinder body department must be low; if a main bearing bush is burnt out, the body temperature around the main bearing bush is on the high side, the engine body has a fever and causes the oil to evaporate, there must be blue gray or white smoke overflowing from the air vent in the crankcase; if the brake slips, the brake drum must have a fever, and odor and smoke will be distributed.

3. Flue gas transformation. If the exhaust pipe emits thick black smoke, it is because the load is too heavy, the fuel supply is too large, and the quality of fuel injection is poor; if the smoke is blue, it is burning engine oil; if it is gray white smoke, it is the engine temperature is too low or there is water in the oil.
