Electric locomotive is a kind of traction equipment for railway vehicle transportation. The power is to use traction motor to drive the wheel to rotate, and to make the locomotive run on the track by means of the friction between the wheel and the rail surface. The traction force is not only limited by the power of traction motor (or internal combustion engine), but also by the friction between wheel and rail surface. The gradient of locomotive transport is limited. The gradient of transport track is generally 3, and the local gradient can not exceed 30. It is classified by structure as overhead electric locomotive and battery electric locomotive.
Composition structure of Electric Locomotive
The electric locomotive is composed of mechanical structure and electrical equipment.
The mechanical part includes: frame, wheelset, bearing box, spring bracket, brake device, sand spraying device, connecting buffer device, etc.
Electrical parts include: DC series motor, controller, resistance box, pantograph, air automatic switch (overhead locomotive) or flameproof bolt, storage battery (battery type).
Application of Electric Locomotive
Composition of locomotive transportation system: locomotive transportation is the main mode of mine transportation in our country at present. The main equipments are rails, mining trucks, traction equipment and auxiliary mechanical equipment. They often form an effective transportation system with harrowing equipment, ore loading equipment, belt conveyor or trackless transportation equipment.
What is electric locomotive transportation: in the production process, transportation of ore, waste rock, materials, equipment and personnel, it is one of the main factors to organize production and determine the mine production capacity.
The task of underground mine locomotive transportation: to transport ore (waste rock) released from mining funnel, mining patio or chute to underground storage warehouse, bottom of well (or middle section) car yard, or directly out of mine through adit entrance, and to transport materials, equipment and personnel at bottom (or middle section) car yard to work place. The main task of open-pit mine locomotive transportation is to transport materials, equipment and personnel at the bottom (or middle section) car yard to work place. The ore in the stope is transported to the dressing field and the waste rock is transported to the dump.
