The correct starting steps of trolley locomotive are as follows:

1. Close the main gate;

2. Put the reversing handle to the "forward" or "backward" position according to the need (usually in the "I+I I" position where the two motors are running at the same time);

3. Ring the alarm bell and loosen the brake.

4. Push the command control hand from "0" to "1" to start the locomotive. After all the trains start, move the handle position slowly and evenly to remove the additional resistance step by step, so that the locomotive accelerates gradually (the handle stays at each position for about a few seconds);

5. According to the road conditions, the speed requires that the handle be fixed in series or parallel with two motors, and the long-term running positions "5" and "8" with all the additional resistors removed for normal driving.

6. If the locomotive does not start when the handle is moved to the "2" position, it should stop to find out the reason, and no additional gear must be forced.

7. Do not leave the handle in the middle of the two positions. The operation of the trolley locomotive will cause the arc to burn out the contacts.
