Brief Analysis on Braking Problems of Trolley Locomotive TransportationⅠ

At present, the main transportation mode of underground roadway in China is traction by trolley locomotive. The advantages of this mode of transportation are: large traction force, strong climbing ability, high transportation efficiency, low transportation cost, no waste residue and exhaust gas generation, and electric braking can be realized. What should we do when the electric locomotive has problems in braking during transportation?
It is the key to solve the braking problem of trolley locomotive that it can not only ensure the transportation capacity, but also meet the braking requirements. Practice shows that there are several ways to solve this problem:
Increase braking force:
(1) The brake shoe braking force of locomotive is limited by the adhesive force. Considering the underground conditions, several locomotives with brakes can be added to the train. The mine car with brake is an automatic brake mine car with air pressure action on the mine car, which is controlled by the locomotive driver.
(2) Adding a special brake to the train.
Reduce speed:
The average speed of locomotive can be controlled by alternating series and parallel operation of locomotive or inert operation of parallel and power cut. However, due to the change of locomotive speed, the braking distance can not be guaranteed and the braking performance is unsatisfactory when the locomotive is braked instantaneously. The braking reliability can be guaranteed by changing the locomotive transmission ratio so that the locomotive can run at the prescribed constant low speed.
