Classification Of Underground Mining Locomotive

① According to the power used, underground mining locomotives are divided into electric locomotives, diesel locomotives and steam locomotives. The steam locomotive has been basically eliminated. Diesel locomotives are generally only used on the ground. Electric locomotive is driven by electricity.

② According to the nature of the power source, electric locomotives have DC electric locomotives and AC electric locomotives.

③ According to different power supply methods, DC electric locomotives are divided into two types: overhead electric locomotives and battery electric locomotives. The vast majority of non-coal mines in China are wired electric locomotives.

④ In order to adapt to different gauges and capacity, locomotives are divided into standard gauge locomotive and narrow gauge locomotive.

⑤ According to different applications, it is divided into open-pit mine locomotives and underground mine locomotives.
