start up

According to the required direction of travel, operate the reversing handle on the controller to determine the forward direction of the locomotive. Operate the speed control handle on the controller, give the speed slowly, and complete the startup process.

When adjusting speed, operate the speed control handle on the controller to rotate in the direction of acceleration or deceleration until the required speed. Reversing
The operation method of the electric locomotive is as follows: pull the speed control handle back to the speed zero position, and the electric locomotive decelerates and stops. Move the reversing handle to the forward (or backward) direction. Pull the speed control handle from the speed zero position to the required speed gear. Since the speed control and reversing handles of the electric locomotive controller are mechanically locked, before operating the reversing handle, the speed control handle must be returned to the speed zero position to move the reversing handle, which can prevent misoperation.

When the electric locomotive encounters an emergency and needs to stop immediately, the braking device should be operated to brake. The operation method of the electric locomotive brake is as follows: when the brake handwheel is rotated clockwise, the brake shoe is pressed against the wheel tread by the pull rod and lever to brake the wheel. When the brake handwheel is rotated counterclockwise, the brake shoe is released from the wheel tread through the pull rod and lever to release the brake.
