1. Traction motor

2. Collector
The collector of underground electric locomotive, also known as pantograph and receiver, is a device for industrial and mining electric locomotive to take power from the overhead line. The collector can be divided into sliding type and rolling type according to the contact mode.
A certain pressure should be maintained when the collector contacts the overhead wire. The contact force between electrical appliances and overhead wires is generally 39-49N, and that of ground-specific electric locomotives is 49-69N, so as to ensure low contact resistance and spark.

3. Automatic Switch
The automatic switch is the power switch of the trolley locomotives, and it is also the automatic protection device for short circuit and overload of the main electric circuit of the locomotive.
There are many forms of automatic switch because of the different voltage used by underground mining trolley locomotives and the different capacities of traction motors. But the principle is basically similar. Metallurgical machinery and equipment consists of two parts: operation mechanism and armature mechanism. The operation mechanism consists of manual device for closing, manual and automatic device for tripping, static contact and dynamic contact.

4. Resistors
There are two groups of resistors used in mine electric locomotives. One group is connected in series in armature circuit of traction motor. Metallurgical machinery and equipment play the role of current limiting and voltage reducing. The other group is connected in series in lighting circuit for voltage reducing lighting.

5. Controller
The controller is used to operate the starting, high-speed running, stopping, electric braking, forward or backward of the electric locomotive. The controller consists of commutator and main controller. The commutator and the main controller are operated by a rotating handle. The overhead locomotive drives the wheels to rotate through the transmission device, thus tracting the train. The current from the motor flows back to the converter through the track. Electric locomotive is a kind of electric current which is transmitted to the overhead line by traction converter. It enters the electric circuit of the electric locomotive and the electric locomotive through the electrical appliances, and then returns to the converter through the track.
