1. Use a dust blower (or leather tiger) to clean the electric locomotive inside of the traction motor.

2. Check whether the electric locomotive working surface of the commutator is smooth, whether there is fatigue, abrasion and out-of-roundness.

If the underground mining locomotive unevenness of the commutator wear reaches 0.2mm, it should be placed on the temperature and the surface of the commutator wooden board with No. 00 fine gauze, and polished along the direction of rotation of the motor. When polishing, when the motor to be polished is in absolute power failure, another motor of the electric locomotive should be used to drive it at a sufficient speed. It should be noted that the commutator must not be polished with rough gauze or another type of rubber. When the unevenness of the commutator wear reaches 05mm, the motor should be removed from the electric locomotive and sent to the lathe for treatment.

3. Check and correct whether the underground mining locomotive position of the brush lift device is on the ZTE line. The barrier between the brush lift and the commutator surface should be kept at about 3-7mm.

4. Check and clean the insulation device of the brush holder. Use an s0 megohmmeter to measure its insulation resistance to the motor housing. The insulation resistance value should be less than 0.5MΩ. The dirt on the brush holder insulation device can be blown off with a dust blower.

5. Use a feeler gauge to check the distance and height between the body and the brush holder. The gap between the brush in the brush holder is 0.1~0.25mm along the small surface of the brush. The height of the brush is generally 45~05m, and the allowable amount of wear is about 20-30mm

6. Check and correct the narrow gauge locomotive contact pressure between the brush and the commutator with a spring balance. The pressure should be 0.3-0.4kgf.

7. Check the degree of insulation between the armature winding and the magnetic plate winding to the ground and between them. The insulation resistance can be measured with a 500V megohmmeter. When the rated voltage of the motor is close to the operating temperature, the insulation resistance should not be small. 0.5MΩ, otherwise it should be dried.

8. Check whether the narrow gauge locomotive number of points is tight.
