Advantages and disadvantages of electric locomotive
Overhead electric locomotive
The overhead line electric locomotive is the electric current transmitted from the traction converter to the overhead line through the receiver, enters the electric locomotive circuit and the electric locomotive, and then returns to the converter through the track. There are two types of DC voltages for underground grids in my country: 250V and 550V, and there are two types of 550V and 750V in the open air.
Advantages: The overhead electric locomotive has simple structure, low cost, convenient maintenance, large transportation capacity, high speed, high electricity efficiency, low transportation cost, and the most widely used locomotive.
Disadvantages: rectification and wiring facilities are required, which is not flexible enough; the wiring has a certain impact on the size of the roadway and the safety of pedestrians; sparks are likely to occur between the pantograph and the wiring, and it is not allowed to be used in mines with serious gasses; initial construction The time investment is relatively large, but in the long run, the total cost of using overhead electric locomotives is much lower than that of battery electric locomotives. Therefore, if the mine conditions permit, the main transportation of the mine should use overhead electric locomotives.
Battery electric locomotive
Battery-type electric locomotives are powered by batteries. The battery charging is generally operated in the underground motor garage. After the battery pack on the electric locomotive is used to a certain extent, remove it and replace it with a charged one. Therefore, each electric locomotive must be equipped with 2-3 sets of battery packs.
Advantages: There is no danger of spark ignition, suitable for use in mines with gas; no wiring is required, flexible use, and it is very suitable for transportation systems and roadway excavation transportation with small output and irregular roadways.
Disadvantages: charging equipment is required; initial investment is large; electricity efficiency is low, and transportation costs are high.
Compound energy electric locomotive
There are two types: wire-battery electric locomotive and wire-cable electric locomotive.

The former can not only obtain electric energy from the overhead line, but also use the storage battery to supply power in the area where it is inconvenient to install the overhead line. This kind of electric locomotive has an automatic charger, which can automatically charge the on-board battery at any time by using the overhead power supply. It can improve the utilization rate of the locomotive without frequent charging in the charging room; it can also directly drive into and develop tunnels, which is flexible and flexible. The latter draws electricity directly from the overhead line when working in the transportation lane; when it is used in areas where the overhead line is not convenient, it can be powered by the cable. The cable can be wound on the cable drum on the fixed locomotive, and one end of the cable can be connected to the rack. Cable connection, but the transportation distance of the power supply with the cable cannot exceed the length of the cable.
