Check the wear of the gear transmission of the narrow gauge locomotive at any time. If the gear is damaged, it should be replaced immediately. Lubricant for gear transmission, after every three months, add to the gear cover and apply a layer of molybdenum disulfide grease (molybdenum disulfide plus No. 50 mechanical oil, preparation ratio 2: 1, Use after diluting) If the grease is found to be dry, it should be cleaned immediately and replaced with new grease.

At the same time, clean the shell of the narrow gauge locomotive. The two halves of the shell should be tightly joined to prevent dust and dirt from entering the electric locomotive. In any case, electric locomotives with gear transmission without housing device are prohibited from driving. When adjusting the brake, theoretically the gap between the brake shoe and the wheel tyre is 3-5mm, which requires uniformity.

Special attention should be paid to the screw cap at the end of the push rod of the locomotive brake. Before fixing the lock nut, screw in the thread at least 50mm, and replace the damaged screw and brake shoe. Brake shoes are easy to wear parts, there must be a certain number of spare parts for replacement, in the maintenance work, often check and adjust the brake push rod.
